Those who know me well know that I hate waking up, and I am always hoping for a better alarm clock to be created. I am currently on the “set the clock somewhere around a 1/2hr fast, put it across the room, and hope you don’t hit snooze too many times” system. This lamp/clock hybrid from Verilux looks like it might just be worth checking into, I will have to think about it. It increases the level of light as well as the volume on nature sounds as the time to wake approaches, easing you awake (theoretically). I would like to try this some time, but I think my sleepy brain would defeat it. My current alarm clock is cool except that it is sort of broken so setting the time on it takes forever sometimes. That, and it is the same alarm as my house mate, so his wakes me up etc. My other favorite idea is Clocky, a clock that drives around your room and hides from you. It sounds like it might just be cute enough to not be totally f**king annoying. Via Gizmodo.
