So what has the AV Club been up to?

Last week I purchased a new professional grade DV cam that we’ll be using in a lot of new shorts. The camera in question is the Panasonic DVX100B.

Last Saturday I took the new camera with me to Angeles National Forest to film a parody of the Discovery Cannel show “Survivorman” which we will be submitting to a contest Discovery is holding. The camera performed great, and I learned a lot about it. I really look forward to my next shoot with it. The shoot resulted in 38 gigs of video that I now need to edit into a <10 minute short, which is another challenge I'm looking forward to.

So where is Andy-the-blog-posting-machine?

He’s spent pretty much every waking moment for the last few weeks either editing or shooting footage, so he’s taking some much-needed time off, though it’s only for ~4 days.

He should be back up and posting in the near future, so stay tuned!
