After months and months of not being able to show you all our new pilot Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E., we can finally offer you a chance to see it.  Several of the festivals we entered it into required that it not have been viewable on the web before submission, but now we can finally have a screening and put it on the web.  The screening is at the iOWest Theater in Hollywood on Friday, December 11th at 10 p.m. Most of the cast will be there and some of the crew, so if you do come and have never said hello to us in person, please do so.  Below there is some info on the show, and we hope to see you in a week!

Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E. is a half-hour comedy series set in post-apocalyptic America. Ghostbusters meets Children of Men. Four “men” are forced to search the barren wasteland for women to help save mankind. No one on Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E. (American Planetary Objectives Committee Avoiding Life’s Yesterday and Preventing Society’s Extinction.) wants to be there, but since the only alternative is death…they’re giving it a shot. They have limited supplies and even more limited brain capacity.

Last week, Nick Armstrong was awarded a fantastic honor at the New York Television Festival; Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E. won him “Best Director”! Huge thanks go out to everyone who worked on the show, as well as the audience, fans, friends, and family that supported the project as it wound through production.  The trailer and commentary for the pilot have now been uploaded to the site (previously they had to be kept offline as part of the festival’s requirements).  The full pilot is slated to be on MSN soon, and I am sure we will be able to post a version here on the AV Club site soon as well.  If you saw the show, thank you, if you want to see the show, you will soon be able to.  We will keep everyone posted as the show continues to make the rounds, hopefully there will be some great news to announce soon.

Today we are very proud to announce that the AV Club’s pilot “Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.” has been accepted as an official selection into the New York TV Festival.  The fest runs Sept. 21-27 in New York city, you can read all about it here and here and watch the trailers for all of the official selections right here.  We are extremely proud to now have all three of our recent shows- “Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.”, “Striker and Swat” and “Psycho Bob“, recognized as official selections of independent television festivals.  We will continue to make new shows and episodes, and bring you news as it is announced.  Thank you to everyone who has supported these projects, and to anyone who is just finding them for the first time!

In the forthcoming AV Club series “Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.”, four men are sent out on a mission by a lonely millionaire to fight extinction by finding and bringing back women. Kevin Ford plays Dr. Strict, a reluctant doctor who has not practiced medicine in years, but is forced to join the team to serve as their medical protector. As the team ventures further and further from what remains of human civilization, the quirky doctor becomes increasingly odd, to the rising alarm of his teammates.

The AV Club’s first full-length pilot, Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E., is coming to a [computer] screen near you soon. During the early part of the 21st Century, Global warming has destroyed the planet, leaving Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E to piece the remains of the World back together and fight the extinction of Mankind… oh and it’s a comedy! Nick Armstrong stars as Clark, a former unsuccessful actor trying to figure out why he is on this journey. Clark has a hard time adjusting to his new role as an adventurer and a hero, and his often short, explosive fuse gets the team in more trouble than almost anything else. If Clark can control himself, and keep his team together, they might just succeed in their mission.

Nick has been in many AV Club shows and videos, including To Catch A Congressman, Drunk America, and the latest episode of Psycho Bob. Nick is also the Writer and Director of Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E., making him the triple-threat to be reckoned with on this project. You can also catch Nick co-staring in a role on NBC’s “The Office” in October- details on that as s0on as we have them.

There’s a new sci-fi comedy coming your way soon- the AV Club’s first full-length pilot: “Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.” (The American Planetary Objectives Committee Avoiding Life’s Yesterday and Preventing Society’s Extinction). Set against the backdrop of a nuclear holocaust caused by Global Warming, Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.’s mission is to find women in order to repopulate the planet and fight extinction. The cast includes Nick Armstrong, Ask a Ninja’s Douglas Sarine, Kevin Ford, Ryan Gaul and Jeff Kriese. Here are the first shots of the team together, during filming in Studio City, CA last weekend. “Ask a Ninja’s” Douglas Sarine has entered the building, or at least the shot. Douglas plays Lewis Cantor, a once famous botanist and scientist. “Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.” is set in a future where mankind is now dealing with the after effects of a nuclear holocaust that was caused by Global Warming. Faced with the incredible task of leading the group to fight the extinction of mankind, Lewis also faces off with his old college roommate Jason Cannon, a lonely playboy millionaire bent on fame and money (who has him by the balls). The self-proclaimed captain of Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E. is a natural leader and book smart. In the photo above he is testing a tomato for radiation levels.

Jeff Kriese plays Jason Cannon in the upcoming AV Club produced sci-fi comedy “Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.”. Facing certain extinction, an unlikely, and somewhat unwilling, group of men must make a new path for the new world and fight extinction. Jason Cannon is a lonely playboy millionaire who funds project Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E. (American Planetary Objectives Committee Assessing Life’s Yesterday and Preventing Society’s Extinction). In the photo above he is calling upon some old friends, who he has just kidnapped, to go on an expedition to save the world.

The AV Club is currently shooting our first full length pilot, titled “Team A.P.O.C.A.L.Y.P.S.E.”. Global Warming has warmed up the world and caused nuclear power plants all over the world to overheat and explode, causing a worldwide nuclear holocaust. These men are forced to cross the United States on a futuristic, post-apocalyptic, Lewis and Clark style adventure in search of women to re-populate the planet and save mankind.
