DIY Snow
October 26th, 2006 by Andy|
I was at a party a few years ago that was in a LA back yard around Christmas time, and they rented a snow maker that I am guessing is just like this one, and I have to say, it was cool. They had coated the trees and the roof of the house, and even though it was like 60 degrees out, it felt a little winterly. I was born on the East Coast (Poughkeepsie whaaaaat!) so I am aware that this world has seasons and coldness happens during some of them, but here in LA there are pretty much only two types of weather- shorts and pants. I think that a machine like this is useful for making things seem a little more ‘normal’ during some winter events, so I endorse it. The one down side that I can remember is that the soap bubbles were not something you wanted to touch, because they were, well, soapy. But they lasted a lot longer than you would expect, hours in fact. The bonus on this particular unit is that it doubles as a pressure water for the rest of the year. Via Gizmodo. |
