iTV To Have TiVo Under The Hood?
December 19th, 2006 by Andy|
I am a whore for Apple rumors; I kind of think that the big ‘what if’ of it all is a good way to pass the day away. This latest rumor makes me happy, because it promises a combination of two products that could be very influential in bringing about a massive revolution in the living room. I think the iTV is thus far an unimpressive set-top DVR/multimedia streaming platform, and I think that TiVo is an awesome product from an awful company. But a combination of the two might just create the most all-powerful multimedia box on the market. I would be excited to have a device designed and marketed by Apple running software from TiVo. Ever since we ‘upgraded’ to Comcast at the Haus we have not had, and have sorely missed, a TiVo. The Comcast DVR boxen just don’t cut it, I mean they don’t make any noise when you ffwd- that’s just not right. Via The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) |
