Hey Andy, did you finish all that footage capturing you needed to do this weekend? No? What’s that? You spent all night Friday, several hours on Saturday, and most of Sunday trying to figure out why your computer couldn’t see your camera, only to discover this thread which told you that Quicktime itself is broken right now? Man that sucks, I bet you could have really used that time to capture footage so you could catch up on all that editing backlog the av club has right now, huh?

Yes friends, Quicktime itself is broken. If anyone reading this lives in LA, and has a similar issue, and knows the solution, I could really use a hand right now, there are something like 40tapes on my desk that need to go into my computer so i can get them edited and done with. I will try one last thing tonight, but if that fails the only thing i can think to do is to borrow a cheap DV camera that does work (it’s only broken with new, flashy cameras, old crappy ones seem to be fine) just so I can capture footage. Man, sometimes stuff like this just makes your life miserable.

On the upside, traffic was pretty good through the weekend, we are surprised at how much traffic Stumbleupon actually drives, considering I thought they had died a long time ago in the face of sites like Digg. Every day that passes we find out new interesting things about the web community. This is quite a ride so far, I can’t wait to see where it goes.
