Random Musing Of The Day
June 29th, 2007 by Andy|
I had couscous for lunch while sitting at my desk, and now there are tiny little pieces of it hiding all over the place. This led me to the following observation: Couscous is the culinary equivalent of glitter. Not that it tastes bad, but damn- that stuff is pretty much impossible to eat without getting at least a little bit of it somewhere that is not on your plate or in your belly. |

So very true.
On a side note Quinoa (Keen-Wah) is a fantastic side dish that is similar to Couscous. It’s made from a “super grain” that is technically a seed, but it rocks. Just wanted to share that, since I love the stuff, and it’s frequently compared to Couscous.

Cois-Cous ought to be served topped with melted butter, that’s the trick. Yoi also can add very thick broth to it…
