As a follow up to my previous post about my personal involvement in this upcoming film, I give you a link to a painstakingly proofread and typeset version of the short story that started it all. Jonathan McNicol has taken it upon himself to take the time to bring us a really beautiful set of PDFs from the free text of the F. Scott Fitzgerald original that is posted on the University of Virginia’s website. If you are at all excited about Fincher, Fitzgerald, or this film, you may want to kill the 6 months you’ll have to wait before it comes out reading this short story. Apparently Jason Kottke is also excited for this one, I missed his linking to the trailer before, but hope his endorsement gets even more people to go see this thing.

As an aside, I wonder if the free publication of the story has anything to do with this.
