Shower Yourself Anywhere

I am not a huge outdoors guy, I have camped, I will camp again, but it isn’t “what I’m all about”. One thing I love about not sleeping in nature is a warm, soft, comfortable bed. Another thing is a long, hot awesome shower the next day. This Hot Jugz portable shower won’t provide the sleeping part, but it may help with the showering. You fill it with hot water, pump the hadle a few times, and shower away. The wetsuit-like covering will keep the water warm for up to 7 hours [they claim]. They say to fill it from home, i assume you could heat some up on a fire or something, but either way, I am sure this is a better alternative to bathing in a creek or something. It reminds me of a portable pesticide sprayer, maybe it is, just re-branded. Who knows. Via the Giz. |

I am far too lazy to google up a link for your right now, but I would have to argue that solar heated “camp showers” are better because a) you save space because it is a bag and can flatten/fold up, b) don’t need to start out with hot water and c) duh, solar powered anything is awesome. The negatives are, of course, that it probably doesn’t have as much “shower power,” or force, and it has to sit in the sun for a few hours, so you’ll have to wait until afternoon for your shower. Oh, and I guess you aren’t saving space if you are *really* camping and have to bring your entire water supply anyway…but at least you’ll save a little space in your garage!

Then again if you are *really* camping you’re probably too badass for showers anyway.
