The Ninja Killed Last Night
June 8th, 2007 by Andy|
Last night Chris and I helped Ask A Ninja put on a live version of their show, and it went extremely well. The Ninja answered real questions on the fly from a studio that we set up back stage with 3 cameras and a video mixer. The questions were all pretty good considering that they came from real audience members with no preparation, and the answers were amazing. The Ninja’s responses were hilarious; there were a few points that operating the equipment was really hard because I was shaking from laughing. We were able to do a pretty good approximation of the style of the AAN podcast with the setup we brought- it was actually better than I thought it would be. There was way less equipment than we normally have the schlep for our own live shows, and there was not a single technical problem or glitch. Sean Cowhig was a big help getting the sound and video all working, so huge thanks to him for helping make the setup a breeze. There were tapes in the cameras so hopefully Kent will get some part of the show edited together and up on their website. If not, I hope they decide to do it again so more of you can have a chance to see it, because the Ninja live is a really fun thing to experience. There are more pics from the show over on the IOWest site (these three came from there- thank you Jason!). |

…just wanted to say thanks for adding me to the AV Club neighbourhood. This will give me a reason to pay some attention to BlogCatalogue.
